Who is Investrent?

Investrent, established in 2002, is a fully black empowered, independent and privately owned asset finance and account management company. Our principal activities are the structuring and provision of term financing contracts for technology, medical, industrial related equipment. Investrent is a registered credit provider in terms of the National Credit Act. In addition to financing, we provide a collection and reporting service to credit grantors operating in the asset based finance industry.

 

Our primary financial products and services are;

-Provision of Off Balance Sheet Operating Rental Contracts, either with or without a managed maintenance element.

-Collection and administration of term debtors books on behalf of third parties.

The executive management of Investrent are well versed in the Instalment Credit and Account Management Industries. Collectively they have in excess of 60 years of experience in this field, together with a reputation for quality and integrity. Investrent also has access to the extensive financial, technology and account management skills of its shareholders and institutional partners who are seen as leading players in their respective markets.

Our established debtors management and finance system enables Investrent to accommodate large volumes of new finance transactions as well as term debtors books to be collected and managed on behalf of third parties.

Investrent’s Directors

Baker Maseko – Chairman

Baker Maseko is the Founder and Chairman of New Integrated Credit Solutions. He holds a Degree in Law from the University of the Western Cape and has an extensive experience in the Advertising and Marketing space. He was previously Executive Deputy Chairperson and co-founder of Azaguys Advertising and Marketing, responsible for strategy and business development in the mass market. He was also joint Agency Head and joint Head of Strategy for the African National Congress National Election Campaign 1998 – 1999. He further acts as Chairman of BMJ Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Multi-Disciplinary Investments Holding Company), Lesira Trading (Pty) Ltd (Manufacturer and Supplier of Intelligent Water Meters), Ashante Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Investments in Exploration and Mining of Diamond and Coal Resources), BMJ Resources (Pty) Ltd, BMJ Coal (Pty) Ltd, and BMJ Diamonds (Pty) Ltd. Baker currently sits on the board of the Council for Debt Collectors and is a Board Member of the Association of Debt Recovery Agencies (ADRA). Moreover, Mr. Maseko is a liquidator/trustee duly appointed by the Master of the Supreme Court of South Africa.

 

Stephen Mc Taggart – C.E.O.

Stephen has been in the asset finance sector since 1987 and is a well-versed asset finance specialist focusing, on the technology related sector. Since the establishment of Investrent, Stephen has developed and refined a number of products that have assisted in providing clients with the most appropriate and effective technology finance solution for their business’ growth. Stephen also serves on the boards of Innovative Laboratory Solutions, Sepsci Laboratory Rentals, SCT Credit Solutions, SCT Capital (Mauritius) and Green As NZ (New Zealand).

 

Tiaan Jonk – Director Finance

Tiaan graduated from RAU with a B.Comm and from UNISA with a B.Compt Hons, majoring in Accounts, Tax, Auditing and Cost Accounting. Tiaan specialises in financial consulting to the account management industry. Tiaan also serves on the boards of Sepsci Laboratory Rentals, New Integrated Credit Solutions, SCT Credit Solutions, SCT Capital (Mauritius), Green As NZ (New Zealand), Natural Beverage Company, Green Charcoal SA and Nutristar South Africa.
